WI-HER LLC (Women Influencing Health, Education, and Rule of Law) is an international consulting firm that identifies and implements creative solutions to complex health and social challenges to achieve better, healthier lives for women and men, girls and boys. Roles and Responsibilities

WI-HER LLC is currently seeking senior- and mid-level Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisors and Specialists for short-, mid-, and long-term assignments domestically and overseas. M&E Advisors and Specialists will provide technical expertise, direction, and project management to various M&E activities related to performance monitoring, evaluation, training, and communications. Principal tasks and responsibilities may include, at a minimum, the following:

  • Design, implement, and manage M&E activities for development programs, including hands-on practical experience setting up and managing M&E systems
  • Develop and monitor output and outcome indicators and collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure the performance and impact of existing programs
  • Develop tools for and conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments, including data collection, management, and for visualizing the data
  • Provide quality control oversight for evaluation activities and ensure the integrity of the methodology, process, and comparability of evaluation findings
  • Build and enhance local capacity in M&E for health, gender, rule of law, and other sectors, depending on the project
  • Synthesize complex technical M&E issues and subjects for presentation to diverse stakeholders and audiences
  • Write evaluation reports in accordance with donor (USAID, DOS, other) evaluation policies and standards

M&E Advisors and Specialists report to the President of WI-HER LLC. Positions locations vary depending on project and may require travel.

Qualifications for mid-level candidate:

  • Postgraduate degree (Masters at minimum) in public health, international development, social sciences, gender studies, or related discipline with strong training in M&E
  • Minimum 4 years of experience implementing and/or managing evaluation activities
  • Substantial background in M&E in gender, health, or rule of law programs
  • Prior experience working on USAID programs preferred
  • Proficient in English, strong spoken and written communication skills to prepare reports, promotional materials, and oral presentations. Other languages preferred
  • Results-driven with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a highly driven team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national, cultural, and social backgrounds
