- Provide short- or long-term support to develop appropriate policies, legislative proposals, manuals, and bylaws;
- Facilitate and promote policy dialogue through various forums, including conferences and meetings.
WI-HER staff are experienced in supporting local teams to design and implement continuous quality improvement interventions to strengthen health and social systems at the community and national levels. WI-HER also provides technical assistance to host governments and organizations to optimize the use of data for decision-making. In addition, we design, implement, and evaluate innovative information systems in the health and education sectors as a tool for reform and system strengthening.
WI-HER can help program implementers, host governments, and organizations increase technical skills and capability among local and headquarters staff via short- and long-term training programs. We conduct rapid assessments of current staff and organizational needs and constraints relevant areas to design and facilitate relevant trainings based on identified needs. WI-HER staff have experience in designing and delivering specialized gender integration workshops and trainings across multiple countries and contexts in Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia. We develop and adapt tools and training materials to enhance participant knowledge and skills. WI-HER utilizes updated, engaging adult learning techniques to deliver interactive workshops to leverage local capacity and enhance female participation.
